Reviews of Feathers of Fire

By Maulik

On March 14 we walked to the university of Washington to watch a shadow puppet play. The Play was great, the costumes were cool, and the walk was fun

The play was great because they used a projector behind their backdrop to make puppets and the characters cooler and more visible. Also, they acted so well there was no mistakes.  The costumes were cool because the actors were wearing these helmets which was the design for the face of the character. Also, the costume designer made small puppets of the characters as if they were far away or riding an animal. The walk was fun because we had lunch near the beautiful cherry blossom trees. We walked for about a mile, we entertained ourselves by making the cars and trucks honk the drivers made themselves happy by all the kids screaming in joy.

In conclusion in general it was awesome the play is something that you would absolutely like and I hope that the walk is fun that will bring memories.

I loved this field trip at the U.O.W. not only because of the show we saw but also because
it was so fun getting there!

Because on the way there we decided to make a game out of how many people in car’s and
truck’s we could get to honk!! I think we got 42 honks during the entire trip. My second
reason I liked it was that the whole performance was amazing! It was crazy because they
used light and projection and shadows to make a movie! The last reason I liked it was
that it was some good exercise doing that walk from my school there and back.
In concluetion I liked this whole trip and I recommend this to anybody looking for a
cool show and a nice fun walk.

Feathers of Fire is a great shadow puppet showit had awesome shadow puppetsacting, and story.
The shadow puppets they used were amazing, they had elegant designs, such as how you could see every feather on a bird, or the wrinkles on the old man's face. The shadow puppets have very meaningful colors, a lot of the colors even show the personalities of the characters wearing them. With projector behind them, you can see the shadow of the puppets which still has the full colors and design on the screen.
The acting was very correspondent to the design and colors of the shadow puppet.  Even when the actors were not wearing the puppets/costumes, they could hold some of the smaller puppets and they would appear perfectly on the screen. The actors know how to position their puppet/costume so that it appears on the screen just right.
The story was AMAZING. I'm not going to spoil it, but it was the perfect balance of action and romance, and a little of everything else needed to make a great story.
In conclusion you must watch Feathers of Fire, and when you are there make sure to pay attention to all the details.
