Highlights of the week for Tomas

This week was awesome. We did a lot of things this week.



First in Monday we did a assembly about people who are courageous.

Up there in the left  is a video of how silent and focused we were in the class writing I have to attmit that it was silent in the class.

That is the awesome map that Ms.Kathleen made fore our colonies.Pine Valley and  Waterwood settlement are together close to big river thing.And down South is Forest Valley and even more South is the Golden Empire.

On Friday we were looking in a phone thing from Google it was a thing that you could see stuff in     A3 D. My favorite part was the big FAT seals.

Those were pictures of us doing science with our first grade buddies I wish I could have been there.

On Monday we did balls and ramps with our first grade buddies .I wasn't there but from what I've heard it was pretty fun.And on Wednesday Ms Emily came and we worked on character traits and rising action.I liked that because we got to decide what our characters were like and what they will do in our story.Below is Ms Emily's example of rising actions.

Above there is a picture of us practicing our presentation.On Wednesday and Thursday we worked on our signs and we practiced for the courage assembly.I think all the signs are great .Bella and I did Malala Yousafzai . I'm really exited for the assembly. Islandwood is only two weeks away and I'm super exited. 

Highlights of the week from Camille

 Ronnie is teaching us about islandwood.[Ronnie is the teacher at the front of the room.]She is showing us a picture of what the bunk rooms look like.My bunk mates are; Amber, Thea, and Zara.

The black and white diagram shows us our groups for the whole day. the purple blue and white diagram shows us our bunk mates, and the  last one shows us who we sit with at dinner.

Highlights of the week for Joaquin

This week was fun. We had Georges mom, Ms. Emily, teach us how to write fiction stories. I am writing one about a kid living on Mars when a bomb is deployed under their glass dome. Everyone is writing just as good stories. I am also exited to do our Colonists simulation, because got to lean how to do maps and do flags( yay!).

Highlights of the week for Charlotte

This week was very interesting, we started fiction reading and writing, got new reading groups and are stating Flash (witch not very many people are excited about).
In reading in writing we are learning about  colonies and pretending  to be colonists. Each table group
has their own name The golden empire ,Pine valley, Waterwood settlement and  Forest valley.
Were thinking and seeing from the prospective of a colonist and what it would  be like in those times.

Mrs. Emily came in and had us make up storys such as a fearful peanut, food fights with the moon and murderous chickens etc. It was very fun and we all laughed at our story's.

This week we also learned about trans gender people  from Mrs. love she read a book called My name is  Jazz. We all had very much fun :) !!!

Highlights of the week from Amber

I got some copy's of finished essays one from Emma , and Mara ,Bella, and Jaiden..The whole class put a lot of  work into these essays.

                                Ms . Kathleen bought us this layered cake for the celebration.
Also , ms Kathleen had us write two compliments for two people  about there essays.I cant wait  to see how all the essays turn out!!!!!!!for are party we are aloud to dress up in p.j.s  or a costume there's a lot of of people in their  pajamas.Every ones  very excited about playing on electronics and hanging out with friends.(eating a lot  of food)  THE PARTY IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!!!!!! Every one have a good winter break.
