Milk Tea had a great time in New Orleans during Mardi Gras season. He also went to a swimming lesson (see waterfall pic). The weather was quite warm for part of the trip. Mardi Gras is a very important cultural celebration in Louisiana, similar to Carnival in Brazil. The entire city celebrates, eating treats like King Cake and going to many parades with very elaborate floats and costumes, marching bands, and the riders throw beads and toys to the crowds. People travel from all over, bringing millions of visitors- and lots of money- to my home city. A few of the pictures are of Milk Tea visiting a float den, where the floats are stored and designed and decorated during the year. I think Milk Tea had a really great time in New Orleans. Evie has some Mardi Gras beads to share with the class as well.
