Highlights of the week from Charlie

On Wednesday, we went to Zoka's and we all got hot chocolate or an Izze.  And the green group got to present to the PTA and they said they were persuaded but they need to get approval from the PTA board.  Also at Zoka's, we got to share the persuasive letters we've been working on.  On Thursday in art, we are making paper mache jaguars with jugs.

Highlights of the week for Matthew

My highlights of the week were unicycling in gym, the Veteran's Day Assembly, and finishing our stakeholder persuasive letters.  My group did the PTA.  I am excited for Monday because we have no school.

The blue group presented their letter to Mr. Mike.  They asked for permission to use the internet. I think they did a good job and they worked really hard.  I hope the PTA will donate $1,000 for us for Type to Learn.

This week we finished our reading unit and we are going to Zoka's on Wednesday.  I can't wait.  I'm going to probably order hot chocolate or cider.

Josiah's Highlights of the Week

One of the things I'm really excited about is I've got Parkour - sort of like gymnastics so it is lots of running and jumping but you usually do it outside. Also, I'm excited because tonight is family fun night.  The Brumbaughs come over and we get to watch a movie and play Xbox.

I'm also excited because we are doing cursive.  I think "q" is harder than the "g".  I hope that our group persuasive letter to Mr. Golosman will persuade him to let us have a typing program at school.  One of the choice book I'm reading is Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  I like it.  I can't wait until gym.

Isabel's Highlights of the Week

My highlights of the week was going to the Tilth Garden and trying the silver shield sorrel. In the picture, we are listening to our teacher talking about the plants.

Today is Friday, and for our entry task, we filled out a cursive worksheet. After school, I have a watercolor class.

Audrey's Highlights of the Week

We went to an assembly in the library.  It was called Shrinking Bigfoot.  And we were learning about electricity while we were watching a play.  In this picture is two twins that are learning to save electricity.  It was one of my favorite parts because the twins were talking really funny.

Today was picture day.  I was still the second tallest.  Everyone looked really nice.  The only thing I don't like about picture day is it is hard to keep your eyes open when you get your picture taken. 

In art, we've been doing copies of our hands in 3D so the way we do it is we get a grid and trace our hands, and then we copy it square by square onto a piece of paper.  And then we have a 3D picture of our hand.

We've been writing persuasive letter so the third grade class and we're trying to persuade them to agree to get a typing program called "Type to Learn".  We are trying to raise a lot of money because we have to pay for the program. 

Ian's Highlights of the Week

The highlights of my week was going to see Pippi Longstocking, going to our friends' cabin. and art.  My favorite part in Pippi Longstocking was the coffee party when the social worker sat on the whoppee cushion.  I also liked when Pippi's dad came back into her life.  

Every year, the water line breaks at our friends' cabin so we have to fix it.  Also at our friends' cabin, we shoot a lot of arrows.  We also fish and sometimes we get to eat the fish there.  Tomorrow is my mom's birthday.  

In art, I just finished my best and final grid.  We are writing persuasive letters to our pen pals.  My pen pal George is pretty hard to persuade.  My small group is also trying to persuade the Technology Department let us use a typing program on their website.

Halle's Highlights of the Week

My highlight of the week is tonight.  We are going to have family fun night with the Hestads.  We do family fun night every Friday.  At family fun night, we usually watch a movie or play their Xbox.  Also we have pizza for dinner.

We are trying to get a typing program for McDonald and I'm really excited.  We're learning to do persuasive letters and my favorite strategy is emotional blackmail which works on my mom and dad.  And in reading, I am reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.  Also, we have a soccer game tomorrow.  I don't know who we're playing but I think we are going to win.  The End.
