Reviews of Other Experiences

From Puri...

I like teaching in Kindergarten because it’s great helping the students and watching
them learn.

I enjoy working with my previous teacher, Ms. Mayte. Every morning the kids would always
take my snack because they find it funny. I helped in English and Spanish classes.
I enjoy helping Kindergarteners because they are sweet and patient. When I told them to
be quiet, sometimes they were silent and would listen to me. It was fun teaching them
technology. I taught them how to tap and play games on the Ipads. It was very easy to
take care of them because they were quiet, and the materials were easy for them. I
taught them numbers in Spanish class and the alphabet in English class.
I recommend my 5th-grade classmates to help in Kindergarten. It is important to watch
the kids carefully. My experience was fantastic because it was my first time teaching
them. I think others will have fun as well.

From Mojo...

My visit day at U prep (University Prep) was scary at first but, got more enjoyable towards the end. We ate an amazing lunch, did activitiestoured the school, learned what we needed on the first day, and met new friends. Overall it was a good experience and I'd be happy to do it again.

U prep was scary at first because I didn't know anybody there and they all knew each other which made it hard to talk to everyone or anyone. Second, I didn't know what to expect it was only my 1st or 2nd visit day at a middle school, I didn't really understand what they did to introduce you to the new, interestingschool that you might be attending next year. Also, we were with kids who were freshmen's or even seniors who were attending high school. The beginning of my first U prep experience was off to a shaky start.
So far, I hadn't had a good time at U prep, I was scared and nervous for what lay ahead of me on my long, long visit with this wonderful school.  I hoped that things would brighten up a little, so I kept a positive, opened mindset and walked with my head held high.  We began our tour in the Library which supposedlyheld 10,000 books. While we were in there they gave us an informative, and delightful little speech. We learned that when attending U prep that an iPad is required, and that the library is used as a study area after school. After we all left the library we walked to the Theater. It was ginormous, it was like the Seattle Childrens Theater divided by 5 but, still big. Then we left to see yet another amazing room of the U prep school, the room I hope to spend a lot of time in, the gym. It was a regular sized gym split into two parts so that two PE classes can be held at once.

The next thing we saw was just another miracle that U prep has created for the wonderful students that they hope join them the following year. It was lunch, with Pizza, tacos, pesto pasta, a salad bar, a dessert bar, and a chip rack. I got pizza, pesto pasta, and a cookie. It was delicious, like I was eating at a real restaurant. The flavors filled my mouth, surrounding me with colors. When we were done eating we filled out a form about our personality, what we liked to do, and our favorite classes.

In conclusion U prep could do a better job introducing each other but overall it was an awesome, cool, and mainly fun way to show kids around the school. I defiantly recommend this tour when looking at middle schools. (Even if it's your 1st or 2nd tour/visit day).
