Cary's Highlights of the Week

This week we've been learning about persuasive letter and we've getting our reading tests. I really enjoyed our persuasive letter and I want to do more of it.  I am in the middle of it and I just want to edit it.  These last three weeks, we've been writing and reading.  In art, we did a silk screen and printed onto our shirts.  We also put it on paper and it is based on peace.

Our table group was based on taking turns and we put beach volleyball with little creatures playing it.  It was really cute.  We've been doing our hopes and dreams self portraits.  We were putting what we were worried about, what we are looking forward to in third grade, and that's about it.

Zoe's Highlights of the week

Tomorrow is my birthday, International Peace Day, and the first day of Fall.  I'm almost done with my Hopes and Dreams Artwork.  I made my own Growth Mindset picture.  We are going to get homework this coming Tuesday.  And curriculum night is Thursday.  I thought the small group work went really well last week even though there was only two people in my group.

Zara's Highlights of the Week

The highlights for the week is that tomorrow I have a big soccer game and I'm going a sleepover at my aunt and uncle's house this Sunday.

I liked doing the writing on demand for the narrative writing.  I wrote it about going to Montana this summer.  I'm reading lots of good books.  I haven't seen all the new books in the classroom library.  We got to think of classroom practices for the whole class to follow.  We voted on the practices and yesterday, we filled our marble jar.  Art was really fun yesterday; we got to do peace posters.
