Highlights of the week for Bianca

I'm showing my expert word.  I wonder what yours is?

Today we had music.  Music was fun.  PE was too.  I can't wait for the celebration for me, Kina, Lily, Cannon, and Twyla.  I hope it is fun.

Expert words sound cool.  My expert word is Kidsco.  These expert words are to teach our partner schools about our school.  Hmmmm.  I'm looking forward to seeing my gramma this weekend.

Early Sunday morning Theo's dad and I travel to first Washington DC and then on to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where we get to meet Theo's little sister Hlina. Tonight Theo helped me pick out the clothes we are taking for Hlina. There is still more to prepare but we are almost ready to go!
I have never been to Ethiopia before but I know the capital is at 8,000 feet and is mountainous. I will send pictures when I can.

Highlights of the week for Caleb

I liked checking out books from the library.  This week in library we sang "Honest Abe".  I'm OK with it.  I liked passing the ball in PE.  In our table group this week, we signed a piece of paper promising to be kind and write at least 1 page of writing.  I am writing about sports.  We are writing an "all about" book to tell the other schools (our partner schools) about what we do at our school.  I feel excited about our Valentine's Day party.  I plan to draw.  I might make paper airplanes.

Highlights of the week for Hugh

afternoon schedule

Votes for the celebration

my map of our partner schools

I like when we did the maps.  Well, me and Caleb we each blue and red for United State and Mexico because I like the Seahawks and Patriots.  We did the map because we have our partner schools in Mexico and the United States.  I'm also happy we get to have Keiko Sensei in the morning and Ms. Kathleen in the afternoon. I like now that we library in the afternoon and we switch to having library on Wednesday because it gives me more time to look for my books.

My highlights of the week are music, library, PE.  Me and Caleb have been snowboarding on Sundays and Saturdays and I like snowboarding because it is really really really fun.  Caleb can do mini-man snowboarding.  Mini-man snowboarding is really hard because you have to bend down and turn sideways and do it.  It is really fun to do mini-man snowboarding.  And I can snowboard really well by standing up.
