Highlights of the week from Mia and Owen

Mia, Livie, and Mazu were having fun watching Mia‘s brother Ari play amazing soccer at his tryouts to make the top team.

Mia and her friend Camille biked over to  a pizza restaurant for dinner.

Mazu is enjoying the Passover Seder Mia set up and led. A Passover Seder is when you eat special food like Matzah, Matzah ball soup, and bitter herbs and tell some of the story of the Jews’ end of slavery. Mazu loved the Matzah, Matzah ball soup and Haroset.

Mazu is helping Mia cut up the apples for the charoset.

Mazu is admiring the finished seder table.

 Mazu tries matzah.

Mazu enjoys matzah ball soup.

Spider is wondering what is going to grow in our garden.

We filled out the compliment jar again.  Extra recess wins!

We had a class meeting and discussed how to be safe when someone was being crazy.

We are learning cursive.  N,M, V, X were the second to last lower case letters.

Mia and Olivia are reading Sargent Reckless.

Students sharing about being inclusive and exclusive.  We are finding ways to include people at recess.

Pinky is helping us learn the first half of the capital letters in cursive.

We are learning about needs that we have to survive and flourish.

Life without tradition, ceremonies, entertainment, etc.

We were practicing cleaning up for the whole class to help and we got to finish in 2 minutes 11 seconds.

This is library checkout.  The people who weren't checking out were reading the Children's Choice Award books.

We were taking notes about the North American Native Tribes.  In the above photos, we were taking notes about the Inuits.

This is independent reading.
