Henry's Highlights of the Week

I had a good time on Monday, President's Day.  The small group was really fun because we go to eat cupcakes while reading.  On Thursday, we went to art and we read this book about Rembrandt.  It was really cool.  And before she showed us the book, we saw these three pictures and they are really really dark so we had to turn off the lights. The first one was of lots and lots of people and they were protecting this castle, I think.  The second picture had a big dark cloud on one corner and sun on the other corner.   There was a generous tree in the middle of the picture.  The third picture was a man putting his hand on a sculpture of an older man.

I'm looking forward to loosing a tooth.

Audrey's Highlights of the week

This week we finished our mini-plays after we performed to the kindergarteners.  Monday we launched a new kind of reading which is non-fiction.  We started doing scripts for plays. I was excited cause I could actually make a play!  Then we performed our Kung Ming and the 100,000 Arrows play in front of the second graders and kindergarteners.  And some parents, teachers, and the principal.  I enjoyed the play but it was kind of weird because I was a dancer and the other dancer wasn't there so I was the only dancer.  I was so excited to do that play because we had been practicing for so long that I want to start a new play.

And today is Valentines! I'm excited to see what people have done with their Valentines.

Zoe's Highlights of the week

The highlights of my week is doing Jack and the Beanstalk and practicing Kung Ming. Also, we did gym, art and library.  I enjoyed doing Readers' Theatre - Jack and the Beanstalk with my group.  I was excited and nervous at the same time.  I am looking forward doing Kung Ming play; I'm also nervous about that.  I'm also nervous because we are doing Jack and the Beanstalk in front of the kindergarteners tomorrow.  Today we are making empathy posters and we are going to present them at the morning assembly Monday.
