Highlights of the Summer from Ms. Kathleen

We went to Victoria, Canada, the first day the border opened.  We had to wait 2 hours in line but it was worth it.

On the ferry approaching Vancouver Island.  After we dock, we would drive 1/2 hour to Victoria.

In Victoria, I met Bruce the Moose.  He is a nice Canadian who invited me to take a photo with him.

We had lunch in the Parliament Building, the place where the Canadian Congress meet and make decisions about this region of Canada.  Victoria is the capital of British Columbia much like Olympia is the capital of Washington State.

I ate in the same place lawmakers ate, in the Legislative Dining room.  The food was delicious.  But, we didn't see any lawmakers when we were eating.

When we were walking around downtown, this gentleman invited us into his store.  He is making corn tortilla from scratch according to old recipes from South America.  We later bought a meal kit from him for tacos and made it for dinner; they were delicious.

My dog Duke.

This is what Duke does when he misses me and I am not home...
